Visit to the Diplomatic World Institute by Kurt Ceulemans – Representing Mister-100 Raymond Ceulemans

Antwerp, 09 July 2025 - Today, we had the great honor of welcoming Kurt Ceulemans to the offices of the Diplomatic World Institute, representing his legendary father, the one and only Raymond Ceulemans – globally renowned as Mister 100.
Raymond Ceulemans is unquestionably the most successful billiards player in history. With no less than 35 world titles, 48 European championships, and 61 Belgian national titles across various disciplines of carom billiards, he elevated the sport to a global level. His career total of over 100 official titles earned him the iconic nickname Mister 100, a symbol of excellence, precision, and timeless sportsmanship.
His fame extends far beyond Europe. In Yushan, China, he is honoured in the prestigious World Billiards Museum – an extraordinary complex of 13,500 m², featuring interactive exhibits, vintage cues, historic billiard tables, and iconic photography chronicling the evolution of the sport. A true highlight is the Hall of Fame, where Raymond Ceulemans has been immortalized. Every year, the museum attracts tens of thousands of visitors from around the world – a true pilgrimage for lovers of cue sports.
Kurt Ceulemans' visit to our Institute took place in preparation for two major international billiards events that are scheduled for the autumn of 2025:
-
The World Cup – taking place from October 6 to 12, 2025, a thrilling week filled with world-class three-cushion billiards and unmatched competitive spirit.
-
The World Championship – from October 14 to 18, 2025, where only the best of the best will compete for the most prestigious title in the sport.
At the Diplomatic World Institute, we are proud to be engaged in the build-up to these major global events. They not only showcase the universal appeal of cue sports, but also reflect our core values of international collaboration, cultural exchange, and sporting diplomacy.
We sincerely thank Kurt Ceulemans for his inspiring visit and look forward to an exciting billiards season in 2025 – one that honors the legacy of Raymond Ceulemans and celebrates the future of the sport on the world stage.
